Overview
One of the most picturesque towns in the West Gippsland region - Neerim South is set in the hills at the base of Mount Baw Baw.
The Tarago Reservoir and surrounding dairying country make for great lush images less than two hours from Melbourne.
History
Neerim South originated in the 1870s with the first post office opening in 1883. Today it is well known for its gourmet food including blue cheeses produced locally, numerous wineries and art galleries.
