Kongwak

Overview
Kongwak, nestled between Inverloch and Korumburra is a tiny town that bursts to life every Sunday with the popular Kongwak Market. A small market with a diverse range of stall-holders, the market further enhances the town’s relaxed and happy atmosphere.
There is also a reserve which covers the hill to the back of Kongwak and which has several walking tracks through the stands of tall gum trees. Kongwak also features a local town hall.
History
Kongwak lies in a valley, the valley of peace, and has the remains of a more prosperous past in the form of an old butter factory and general store. Kongwak Post Office opened on 11 May 1898.
The land around Kongwak was largely cleared of native vegetation and is now used for agriculture, including dairying.
