Bruthen

Overview

Bruthen is a town blessed with some fantastic heritage buildings and a grand streetscape.

A small country town overlooking the Tambo river and is one of the gateways to the snowfields boasting natural attractions such as clean, fresh-waterholes and a pristine rainforest on the outskirts of town.

History

The Bruthen Inn is rich in local history and culture. Established in 1858, the Bruthen Inn was the second permanent building in the township. Overlooking the scenic Tambo Valley, the Inn is now the heart of the Bruthen Blues and regular Jams.
 
At Mossiface, Calvert's hop kilns, built in 1888 and are listed in Victorian Heritage Register, have been restored and a giant maize crib still stands.
